An enthusiastic GEOS user, Scott Hutter, after being surprised to find that he could not find a chess program for this popular operating system, started developing his own. Despite its shortcomings, the beta version of the game software – which engine is based on the javascript code BMCP – is already available for testing, the technical details of which the developer publishes on his GitHub page, and he welcomes feedback on his experiences (bugs, comments, etc.).

The game is scheduled to arrive later with several new features, such as a multiplayer networked game mode (via freechess.org or direct connection) and an 80-column screen mode.
