1984 is a special year for the birth of many excellent works, one of the most famous of which is the video game Ghost Busters for the Commodore 64. It’s the 40th anniversary of the game’s release, and today Karsten Falborg wants to celebrate with another excellent creation.
Ghostbusters is a licensed game by Activision based on the film of the same name. It was designed by David Crane and released for several home computer platforms in 1984.

A new cartridge version of the game has been released, featuring a beautiful title screen and menu system.
Official description:
Welcome to Ghostbusters 40th Anniversary Cartridge.
Press F1 to see the cartridge title screen, F3 to read the game instructions, F5 to generate your own account or F7 to play the game.
Do you want to know how the Ghostbusters account number is calculated?..
There is a secret description hidden on the cartridge, but you will have to read the scroll text under the main menu to learn how to access it.
The cartridge was made by Falborg to celebrate the 40th anniversary of ghostbusters.
The game was released for commodore 64 in 1984 by Activision. It has a feature that sets it apart from other video games at the time. When the game is successfully completed it generates an account number, allowing you to use the money you earned next time you play the game. In an era where the credit card was not yet invented, i found that idea ingenious. On this cartridge you’ll find a custom made title screen and illustrated instructions, explaining the basics of the game. It also contains an account generator, allowing you to make your own Ghostbusters accounts with a name and a balance of your choice. Last but not least, it of cause includes a flawless copy of the game. I hope you enjoy this cartridge as much as i have enjoyed making it.
Hint: If you press the letter ”B” while in the cartridge menu (same letter as used in the game to suck up the Marshmallow-man), you will get to a secret page describing how the Ghostbuster account number is encrypted and how to crack it..
