The Catacombs of Cherubim (2025, Construction Computer Players)

Thanks to Marcus Oliver Wagner for dusting off his long forgotten but special games and sharing a fresh version on his new website. This time, it’s his own creation inspired by the famous platform game Spelunker, with simple yet very likeable graphics.

Underground jump&run like “Spelunker” – I played the game to excess. I love it! But my version doesn’t compare to the original! Still, have fun in the four huge cave systems!

The game was originally created in 2004, with all the graphics, music, code and level design also created by himself.

Deep in underground catacombs are huge, shimmering treasure chests that just seem to be waiting for a new owner. But be careful: it is said that they are filled with the magic of the great zambalo, which is maintained by diamonds, goblets and pearls. Certainly the magic is not of a good nature!

The game features a total of 4 large cave systems to search through for secret treasures:

  • Cave 1: The Spelunks of Minos
  • Cave 2: The Pits of Isobalo
  • Cave 3: Vinclerts Castle
  • Cave 4: The Catacombs of Cherubim

The legends also tell that an even more valuable treasure chest is slumbering deep in the dark corridors and caves with an unspeakably valuable treasure…
