Monster Museum is an interesting but never completed Commodore 64 game project. Development of the game was started by Palace Software in 1989, but was never released.
Development and creators: the game was programmed by Andy Wilson, with graphics by Gary Carr and music by Richard Joseph. It was a female-led arcade adventure game, which was a novelty for its time.

Game concept: The world of the game is set in different themed exhibition spaces, such as Egyptian, prehistoric, Greek mythological and scientific spaces.
Obstacles to development: the game was hampered by technical problems and the distance between the development team. Palace Software was unable to provide sufficient financial support and eventually the project was scrapped due to the merger of the company and the decline of the C64 platform.
Music trivia: The music was composed by Richard Joseph and was inspired by the film “Blood Feast”.

Unreleased status: The game is approximately 90-95% complete but was never released. The developers later agreed to archive the project and share it with the public.
