Mad Moggy (2025, VisualImpact)

“Mad Moggy” is a quirky and fast-paced platformer game built specifically for the Platformer Jam #1.

Cats running around and doing 180s do slide around quite a bit so I’d say it is a simulator.

You take control of Mad Moggy (in British terms), a manic and determined cat whose mission is to collect every necessary item scattered across a series of increasingly perilous levels.

The game is written in Assembler, with music and sound effects taken from an earlier game.

• The cat dashes at full speed by default, adding a layer of chaos to navigation.
• You can reverse direction using the arrow keys; Moggy also changes course upon hitting a wall.
• Strategic movement and timing are key, especially when negotiating jumps or dodging deadly obstacles.
